Cheyenne & Nathan's Whimsical Wedding at The Prospect House: A Love Story in Every Detail

When Cheyenne and Nathan began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something that felt entirely them—romantic, whimsical, intentional, and deeply personal. As their planner and designer, I had the absolute joy of helping bring their vision to life at the stunning Prospect House in Dripping Springs, just outside of Austin, TX. From the very first meeting, it was clear: this wasn’t just a wedding. It was a love story woven into every detail.

From Bumble to Bluebonnets

Cheyenne and Nathan’s story began like many modern romances do—on Bumble. But their connection quickly grew beyond the app. What brought them closer wasn’t just attraction, but a shared love for music, movies, & reading. It’s rare to see two people so perfectly in sync, and they wanted their wedding day to reflect all of that—who they are as individuals, and the life they’re building together. “Bluebonnet” is Nathan’s nickname for Cheyenne, and it is just one of the many winks through out the day that give us a glance at their love story.

Designing a Day That Felt Like Them

When it came to designing their wedding, Cheyenne and Nathan had a soft, romantic aesthetic in mind—something elegant but playful, with a bit of whimsy and a whole lot of heart.

We dove into the design process together, carefully selecting rentals that added layers of personality to the day. The color palette was built around soft pinks, greens, & pops of blue. The final result was nothing short of magical:

  • Pink rose toile linens and napkins that brought a vintage, garden-party charm to the reception tables.

  • Delicate pink glassware that added just the right amount of warmth and sparkle.

  • Floral and green china that made every place setting feel like a little work of art.

  • Pink draping to soften the architecture of Prospect House and create a dreamy atmosphere.

  • And one of the biggest design moments: a green and white checkered dance floor that became the vibrant, joyful centerpiece of the evening.

Every piece we selected together had intention behind it!

Love on the Shelves

Books were a cornerstone of their relationship, and we knew we wanted to incorporate that passion in a way that felt beautiful and meaningful. One of the highlights of the day was the bookshelf seating chart from Bee Lavish, styled with eclectic decor, family photos, and vintage finds that reflected the couple’s personalities and history. Guests loved exploring it, spotting pictures of Cheyenne and Nathan growing up, and seeing how their love story was quite literally shelved among pages. Cheyenne even ordered custom paper that matched their invitations to wrap her & Nathan’s personal books to line the shelves. On each spine was the name & table number for each guest.

For wedding favors, they went above and beyond: handmade bookmark name cards for each guest to take home. Thoughtful, functional, and from the heart—just like the couple themselves.

Symbolism in the Details

Nathan also found a way to add his own deeply personal touch. He ordered a custom jacket liner that featured illustrations of things meaningful to their relationship:

  • A bluebonnet, because that’s his nickname for her.

  • A book, symbolizing their shared love of literature and the many chapters they’ve yet to write together.

  • A music note for their shared love of music & because he is a musician.

There were many other unique details that were personal to the couple:

  • A Celsius tower instead of a champagne tower to show their love for the energy drink.

  • A stunning vintage cake with a custom cake topper!

  • A white vintage Ford Bronco named Betty to whisk them away at the end of the night!

It’s the kind of detail guests might not see right away—but it speaks volumes about the intention and emotion behind the entire day.

A Celebration Full of Heart

From the very first spark on Bumble to their final dance in the glow of the marquee letters, Cheyenne and Nathan’s wedding was a reflection of true partnership, creativity, and love. Helping them design and plan this day was an honor I’ll never forget.

Weddings like theirs remind me why I do what I do: not just to plan an event, but to help bring a love story to life.
