Finding Peace and Fun in your Wedding Day

Weddings should be fun and peaceful. They’re an occasion to celebrate your love in a way that represents you as a couple! I recall the wedding of Slone and Jared in 2023 at a beautiful venue in Liberty Hill, Texas, called HighPointe Estate. With the help of some amazing vendors, the whole day was relaxed and enjoyable. Micah with Double Knot was able to capture amazing photographs! Also in attendance was caterer Poke Joe’s, bartender Sterling Events, DJ Robert with Innovative DJ, Simply Ivory videographer, and Lola Beauty for hair and makeup. Slone and Jared's love for each other & for Jesus really showed through the peaceful environment & little details all day!

Starting the day with separate unplanned dance parties in each of their suites, I knew this Texas Tech couple was ready to start the day right! After exchanging vows, they decided to change into matching Nikes for the reception. I’ve seen outfit changes and changes made to the bride’s hair style in the past, but I really do love this change into sneakers. It sets the mood- get ready to party!

One super sweet moment for this couple was when they had their private dinner and vow reading in the chapel. This brought a sense of intimacy and calm between them that I loved to see. They also opted for their private last dance under the string lights on the back terrace. Being able to truly connect amongst the chaos of a wedding day takes intentionality and Slone and Jared did just that!

Another fun added touch was the cake and cookies. The retired owner of a bakery that Slone once worked at in high school made the desserts. What a special gesture! The couple also opted for a milk pairing which brought a sense of nostalgia. It was such a fun treat enjoyed by all!

One of my favorite parts about weddings is getting to know each of the couples I work alongside. Being there for the planning process & seeing it pan out so beautifully on the day of is why I do what I do. This wedding and many others have proven that I also appreciate seeing the couple truly enjoy their big day & share it with those they love!
