A Texas Wedding Beneath a Historic Mansion | The Woodbine Mansion

Updated: Mar 22

When you think about an all inclusive wedding, what comes to mind? As a wedding planner, this term excites me! It allows me to be a part of every aspect of the planning process alongside the couple. I get to know them, their families, their love story, and their vision. For Mia and Morgan’s December wedding, planning and designing started over a year ahead of time. They chose the venue of Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock, Texas and I was able to help them pick out rental items and book vendors, which was so fun! The wedding turned out to be a dream!

With classic romantic feels, both the venue and the couple were exquisite. Myself and my team of 5 Bridges & Co. assistants worked alongside some amazing vendors which included Photographer Kelly O’Conner, Caterer & Bartender PEJ, Hair and Makeup Artist Katy Reddell, Band and String Trio Matchmaker Band, flowers by The Flowered Blue, Videographer Epic Productions, rentals from Premiere, Lisa’s Cakery, signage by CalliRosa, photo backdrop by Pop & Drop TX, lounge rentals from Party at the Moontower, Austin Event Lighting, Alpha Lit Austin, Sparks & Co., and Live Painter Rendered Moments. Such a high quality team brought the couple’s vision to life!

I enjoyed every aspect of the planning process for this wedding and was excited to see it all come together. Although they are a house divided by Mia being a longhorn & Morgan going to A&M, they were unified on the vision. From the classic black and white dance floor, to the groom’s only request of a cookie cake, Mia and Morgan thought of everything! Mia’s brother and Morgan's sister both had previously passed away and the couple was able to honor them at a memory table and on personalized wine bottles. Designing the layout, lounge setup, champagne wall, and photo backdrop allowed me to easily execute a flow and timeline that would work well for the lush-gardened venue.

Florist Mabry with The Flowered Blue created a beautiful arch for the ceremony space along with centerpieces for the reception that brought feelings of timeless charm, and elegant wonder. With added touches of gold, I personally could not get over the beauty of it all!

To top off the beauty of the day, the Matchmaker Band was simply a blast! All of the guests enjoyed the live singing and even the bride and groom had their turn to dance onstage! Mia made it known during the planning process how important the dancing and fun portion of the night was to her! I was encouraged to dance alongside the guests and grab a late night snack of tacos that were provided. The twinkle of the string lights in the tented reception made everything feel peaceful, magical, and fun-as love filled the room! The planning process was long, but no detail was overlooked, and this gorgeous wedding was perfect beneath the backdrop of the historical Round Rock, Texas mansion!
